Due to its enhanced sealing effect for through shaft 2TSN 518 ND Taconite seals are to be ordered. Where the Bearing is mounted on end shaft, one such Taconite seal to be used with End Cover/ End plate on other side to blank the end.

Taconite Seal consists of Non-Rotating part which seats in the seal groove of the housing. Radial Labyrinth ring fits on the shaft by help of rubber O’cord on the outer edge and a rubber V’Ring fitted inner side of the nonrotating body.

Lubrication of Grease is provided in these two rotating parts through a grease nipple provided on the non-rotating part.
